My first Le Tote L'Experience!

My closet is stuffed. It is packed unbelievably tight with clothes. I have so many clothes that I actually don't wear most of them because I don't want to stuff  my clothes back in the closet.

Does that stop me from shopping? Of course not.  One of my weaknesses is wondering "Did I wear that before?" Because if I did, then I can't wear it again.

Then I learned about  Le Tote. The company is kind of like the Netflix of clothes and accessories. I go on the website and "heart" a bunch of their items. They mail a box of 5 items, their choice. I can hold on to the items as long as I'd like. If I keep anything, I get charged a discounted fee. Upon receipt of my return items, they send another 5 pieces of mixed clothing and jewelry to me. Shipping and returns are included in the monthly fee.

I could give you many more details of the company, but I'd much rather show and tell my first shipment. Voila!
1. A really cute color-blocked dress featuring a beautiful blue for spring
2. A pair of gold earrings with a green-blue gem
3. A gold bracelet
4. A fabulous coral vest
5. A chic black mixed faux leather and cloth skirt

My first outfit was casual, featturing the vest and the bracelet. I wore a bra top tank underneath to highlight the vest, skinny jeans and gold flats. I stacked the bracelet with my watch. I absolutely loved this look.

I had a tough time with the black skirt. Even though it says extra small, the waist was too big. I'm also short, about 5'2", so it hit at the knee to just below. It fit nicely around my hips and had some stretch to it, so it would definitely be a good fit for another person.

Eventually, I managed to get a good outfit out of the black skirt with a cropped jean jacket and a plaid scarf.

The color blocked dress was probably my favorite item in this tote. It fit well. It worked for the office setting. I received a bunch of compliments and felt really cute. The earrings matched almot perfectly!

After wearing all 5 pieces, it was time to make a decision. Return the whole tote or keep any or all of the items. Out of everything, I loved the color-blocked dress the most. According to the website, it retails for $62, but I could keep it for $42. Though a huge bargain, I had to return everything.

My closet is stuffed.

Overall, this first "tote" was a good experience. I'm definitely looking forward to my next shipment. If this is a service you think might be fun to try, consider joining Le Tote!

Sunday Brunch Dresses

Dresses

I am obsessed with the dress shop at Sunday Brunch Dresses... probably because I'm obsessed with dresses.

These four are probably my favorite but I could easily wear any of the dresses depending on how I feel. There is a dress for every woman. They're all timeless, one-of-a-kind pieces, too.

What i love the most about the Sunday Brunch Dress Shop is they want every woman to tell a story, and the dresses offered will help any one of us do just that.

Check it out and find a dress to help you write your story. I'm still trying to decide which character I want to be!

If these dresses aren't enough, see more of my Dresses list at ThisNext.

Bailey 44 Kinetic Top and Octopus dress

Bailey 44 Kinetic Top and Octopus dress

I saw this dress a while ago and LOVED the way the pleat accentuated... ahem... the "girls"

I decided to recommend it on thisnext.com and think about it, hoping it would eventually go on sale. The problem is that Bailey 44 isn't as huge as other contemporary designers, so online stock was/is to say the least... limited.

As I was browsing through a friend's photos on facebook, I noticed one of the girls in her pictures was wearing this dress. It looked amazing... so I went on google and typed it in. I browsed through many many sites and eventually found the dress for $100. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I bought it on the spot. Though I might need to see a seamstress about shortening the straps, it looks absolutely fabulous and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Sequins Explosion

One of my friends commented that she knows I'll love an item as long as it is sparkly, shiny and/or furry. I didn't argue with her.

When I saw this Alice + Olivia dress months ago, I wanted it so badly. It's sequins galore in a fun, checkered pattern of blue and black. It was also over $400, and in my permanent state of recession I couldn't make the purchase.

The other day when I was randomly watching Deal or No Deal, (I hate the show yet I can't change the channel for some reason) I told my boyfriend how much I loved the dress that the ladies were wearing. He said he would buy it for me.

I perked up and immediately went online in search of that dress or something similar. I found a fantastic magenta dress by Alice + Olivia on shopbop on sale, but unfortunately they were out of that color in my size. I continued online browsing for fun anyways when I came upon the checkered dress for the incredible sale price of $130.

Can you believe it???

I couldn't... but get this... I found a coupon code for an additional 20% off.

This beauty is on it's way to me as I write this. I cannot wait!

Denim Lingerie

Ok not really because that would probably be incredibly uncomfortable. Imagine having to break your underwear in after every wash.

What I really meant was the lingerie influence on Ricky's winning denim design for Levi. I LOVE IT. I was super excited too when I found out that it would be available to purchase after the show aired on the west coast.

Too bad I'm on the east coast. I fell asleep and woke up to find out that the dress had sold out. I'm devastated, but alas I guess it wasn't meant to be.

In the meantime, I will be searching for Ricky's boutique with hopes that he will make it again!

Never Enough

I can never have enough dresses, especially when the designer is 12th St. by Cynthia Vixen. Sure most of the dresses are the exact same cut at different lengths, but that cut looks great on my bod.

So yes, I bought yet another dress. Different color, different length... but HOT! Oh and did I mention it was on sale, and then I used a coupon code to get a further discount? OH YEAH!

Project Runway Obsession

I just watched the finale for season 2 of Project Runway. Unfortunately I missed that season, so I was super excited for a marathon today.

I couldn't be happier that Chloe won. Her pieces had been clean and sleek through the whole competition. Unfortunately for me, her store is in Houston, TX. I sent an email through her website asking if any of the many many many new boutiques cropping up in Boston might carry her collection. I just LOVE the 13th piece.

Jeffrey from Season 3 needed an attitude check, but there is no denying his talent. I love the rock star couture, but I can't afford any of his designs. Could I get a sale please??? For say... 95% off?

Jay McCarroll
, the first. I honestly wasn't impressed with anyone from season 1. I gotta admit though that I am a nerd at heart and I tend to find his collections to appeal to the haute geek in me.

Birthday Month

One thing I love about the month of June is that it is my birthday. I'm not excited to get a year older, but around June 1st every shopping email or regular snail mail offers me a gift certificate of some sort; $5 off plus free shipping, a free cone of ice cream at the local Coldstone, a free birthday something.

So when LaRedoute told me I could get a free cami worth $20 with any purchase AND their site was already offering 30% the highest price item AND everything on their site is relatively cheap to start, I had to get something.

Well it turns out I wanted two things in addition to the free cami. I'm a big fan of the nautical trend, so I definitely had my eyes set on this cute striped top with fluttery sleeves. It's girly, flirty, classy and sexy. Perfect for a summer sail on the Charles.

Since I am obsessed with dresses, I had to see what La Redoute had to offer. I found this beautiful silk pleated, teal dress on sale. The color is bold and perfect for day into night.

I discovered that la redoute only lets people use one coupon code at a time. Sooooo... I made two purchases, and the net result was definitely in my favor. I'm looking forward to wearing all of these items very soon.

Fab Deals

I'd say I'm the queen of bargains... good quality labels. I stay up to date on the latest. I pick what I want, and then I WAIT.

Luckily for me, I am pretty petite. The chance of x-small or petite clothes and size 6 shoes sticking around are pretty high.

And that's exactly where I lucked out with my latest online purchases.

After my purple 12th St. by Cynthia Vixen fit perfectly, I scoured the net for more. Low and behold I find this sexy little blue number.

It was originally $194 on sale for $97. After coupon codes and shipping I got this classy party dress for $80.

Now I saw some more 12th St. clothes that I would love, but I figured that is enough for this season. On to the next steal.

Endless.com has proven to be one of the best online shoe stores. Not only will I find great deals, but shipping AND returns are free... AND... they take $5 off your order. Naturally when I saw these precious booties from Steve Madden, originally $194 marked down to $55, I had to try them on.

And lucky for me... they look and feel fantastic. I saved over $200 with these purchases, and I most certainly am not finished.

Retail Therapy!!

I'm in the midst of studying for a major exam, and my favorite procrastination is shopping. In the past couple of days, I have bought 3 dresses and 2 tops. ALL on sale or a fabulous deal!

I'm super excited because my purple dress by Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vixen came yesterday. I finally popped my Cynthia Vixen cherry. I took a risk by going petite and luckily I was right! The color is gorgeous and it will be perfect for a summer day to night.

I also bought this really cute orange dress from Smart Bargains for 81% off!!! I hope it fits. I haven't tried on any Laundry by Shelli Segal dresses in a while.

My third purchase is this funky top/dress. I love the beaded neckline. It totally takes care of any jewelry dilemma.

Finally two tops from BCBG. This store has my heart. Everything fits me so well. I guess it's meant for the petite, slightly curvy, little boobies gal!

Proenza Schlouler Designs

Proenza Schlouler Designs

As a mathematician at heart, there's something appealing about the geometric influence in Proenza Schouler's designs. Check out the collections on the Proenza Schouler website. I particularly like the darker, brooding colors with a hint of pizazz for this year's Spring. It's a bit more my taste.

I found a few items available for purchase at Bergdorf Goodman, but I'm hoping to find the designs I particularly want somewhere soon. Click on the photo and you should be taken to my recommendation on ThisNext.com.

Granted I most likely will not be purchasing any Proenza Schouler clothes right off the runway, but like most designers now-a-days Proenza Schouler offers a cheaper collection available at Target.
