Home Wet Bar Review and GIVEAWAY! CLOSED

Raise your hand if you love wine.

Everyone? I figured. ME TOO!

I love wine so much that I use it as a theme for all my parties and events. In fact, my wedding next year is going to be in wine country.... Once my parents agree to pay for it, of course.

I love wine so much, that I decorated my apartment around it.

When HomeWetBar.com send me the wine candelabra, I couldn't have been more thrilled. I had always wished there could be a way for my to save my wine bottles for another purpose and HomeWetBar.com gave me just that!

It's so wonderful to be able to use a finished bottle of wine for home decor.

And what I love the most, which is kinda cheesy but very important.... the ability to change the bottle.

If I'm entertaining someone who loves cabernet, I'm gonna stick this over a bottle of Cab!

But for the most part, I'll keep it on various bottles of Pinot Noir... my true love.

Amelia Kay Photography Giveaway! CLOSED

Red Wine 8x8 Fine Art Photograph

I've been drinking wine since I was 15. Appalling to some, but eye-opening to me. I wanted to spit out my first sip of wine. It was terrible. However the host of the party and his wife started raving about the splendor of the wine, talking about the year and flavors. Clearly I was missing something... so I finished that glass and continued to try different wines.

Over the years, I've learned which varietels suit my palate. Pinot Noirs from the United States and French burgundies are definitely my favorites. One of the top vineyards being Louis Jadot, the bottle depicted in this photograph from Amelia Kay Photography.

The black and white photo is distuinguished, and that tinge of yellow adds a rustic effect. A quality photo perfectly depicting a quality wine. I love it.

Amelia, of Amelia Kay Photography, took this photo after her sister asked for some wine art photographs, but mostly she loves to photograph flowers.

Amelia has loved photography since childhood. She got her first DSLR in 2006 and has been teaching herself photography ever since! She really got into fine art photography in 2007 with flowers and landscape shots. She feels she is learning every day...evolving her style as she goes along.

Amelia pours her heart into her work. She loves what she does and hopes it shows through her photographs! I certainly can see it!

And I know you all can too, which is why you'll be delighted to find out that Amelia would like to give one of you an 8x8 or 8x10 print of your choice from her shop!

Andrea Despot Photography Giveaway! CLOSED

Drinks for Two 5x7 by andreadespot

The photo, Drinks for Two, is what I find to be genius talent. Andrea Despot, the photographer, makes it very clear what the main ingredient of wine is... grapes. I love it. The concept is so simple, yet truly profound.

In addition, the photograph itself is of exceptional quality. The glasses against the black background seem to jump of the photograph. I love that the photo is not glossy as I think the matte shows the lighting better.

Andrea caught the perfect lighting to make this picture astounding. I framed it in a simple black frame and let it jump off my wall.

Andrea has been a photographer for eight years, shooting mostly objects. She loves taking an ordinary thing and making it extraordinary by using exceptional lighting techniques and color to emphasize shape and texture. Isn't that what I was trying to say about the Drinks for Two photo?

Photography started as a hobby but is now Andrea's career. She works as a full-time photographer at a printing company and also does freelance work... eventually wanting to become a full-time photographer at a studio, and maybe even someday own her own business.

Well I think Etsy and her website are a great start. She clearly is talented, and I'm sure she'll take her artisitic vision around the world.

Photgraphy makes Andrea happy. This photo makes me happy. Now, she wants you to be happy. Andrea would like to offer one of you the print of your choice!!

SCHMETZ PETZ Art Print Giveaway! (CLOSED)

Grey Cat at the Wine Bar making a Toast Art Print by lulunjay

I have a gray cat named Sebastien. He is the most wonderful I have ever owned. You see Sebastien thinks he is a dog.

He waits for me at the door when I get home from work. He constantly begs for my food. He loves people and wants to be around them constantly. He loves attention.

All in all, Sebastien is the best. When I saw the Grey cat print by lulunjay, I thought of my cat and smirked.

One time when I was drinking red wine, Sebastien came over and started sniffing the glass. I thought he was trying to steal my wine. He knocked the glass and some wine spilled on his face. It was the cutest thing. To my surprise he had a taste... and I think he might have felt tipsy.

Though he is fat, Sebastien is a light-weight. Kidding Kidding. He hated the wine and never approached my glass again.

Jay of LulunJay was kind enough to give me Grey Cat at the Wine Bar making a Toast. The cat looks like Sebastien. The print is quirky and different. I really love it.

Jay loves using animals in art. He and his wife have a small animal sanctuary with animals all kinds of animals that were rescued from bad situations. Through them he started painted animals as though they were people. He also like a sense of humor and fun in art as well, and captures it well.

Jay has been doing art from an early age and became serious about making a living in art during college and grad school. By taking care of animals his animal sanctuary he found a subject he really believed in and wanted to paint.

And I believe in Jay's work. What a wonderful story and a great talent that he'd like to share with you. Jay would like to offer one of you the print of your choice.
