I don't wear make-up. I don't mean to brag, but I really like my skin. I've been blessed with very few blemishes. However with stress comes the stress zits. Now that Labor day has passed, everyone is gearing up for the fall and I couldn't be happier. This is my favorite season! Starbucks has released the pumpkin spice latte. Sam Adams has put Oktoberfest, my favorite beer, on the market

These little things mean a lot to me. They mean Halloween will arrive shortly. My favorite holiday is nearing. And once I get the hint that it's close, I start decorating. I am very thankful that Diane from Three Cats Graphics sent me the Lucky Neko Black Cats Drinking Burgundy print. It is perfect for the season and the upcoming holiday. On top of that, I was beyond excited because I have a cat and I love wine!

Whispering Windz Farm Giveaway (CLOSED)

Imagine any scent that makes you happy, that brings a smile to your face, that makes you feel good... how about delicious? I've been sampling a few shampoos and conditioners from Whispering Windz Farm, and shower time is a real treat thanks to the scrumptious flavors Bonnie of Whispering Windz Farm has given me.

Bonnie specializes in making soaps and lotions, which I would describe as luxurious. If you check out her profile on etsy, you can see the mile-long list of scents that she can create for her products. I had the opportunity to sample several of her shampoos and conditioners, and my chosen scent was Banana Coconut Cream Pie.

The first time I used the shampoo & conditioner, I was in heaven. It smelled exactly as described! All the other flavors I tried gave me the same experience. And not only do they smell fantastic, but my hair is clean, soft, and yummy!

Bonnie has a large goat farm. Yes you read that correctly. She started researching goats milk and learned that it is enriching and wonderful for skin and hair. So she got to work mixing farm fresh goat's milk, oils, fragrances, etc to make amazing beauty products.

And the scents she offers... now that is what I find really impressive. Bonnie makes the bakery scents herself and can even make custom-scents for her customers.

I was walking home from work today and I couldn't believe how cold it suddenly felt in Denver. I guess we're officially moving into the fall season. I know most people dread the end of summer, but I couldn't be happier.

Autumn is my favorite season. I love the upcoming holidays. I love the seasonal food. But mostly I love the fall foliage. This is my first autumn away from New England, so I'm kinda feeling sad that I won't get to make my annual trip north of Boston to see all the amazing colors.

Lone Hopper Necklace by Anirtak Giveaway! CLOSED

What attracted me to the lone hopper necklace was the description Katrina of Anirtak wrote on the piece: "This poor bunny seems to have lost the rest of his pack! Help him find his friends by taking him along with you on all your adventures."

This bunny came on several adventures with me. Originally I thought it would be a cute necklace that would compliment a few of my outfits. What I soon found was this necklace would be the topic of flirtation while out on the town. Yes ladies, this necklace caught the eye of many a man.

And I have to thank Katrina of Anirtak for scoring me a couple dates, on which I'll probably wear the necklace again.

On to the necklace itself, I thought the length was perfect because the bunny could actually rest in between my clavicles, drawing much attention to my shoulders and neck. I actually loved draping the necklace slightly off-center, almost feeling like I was allowing the bunny to run in a circle around my neck.

It's too cute, flirty and fabulous, so I have to give major props to Katrina for her design. Now the bunny isn't the only thing this fabulous designer offers in her jewelry. She has many designs inspired by her constant traveling. Katrina will often find materials in thrift stores, antique stores, just about anywhere! She especially loves working with raw brass, as it mixes well with other metals creating a pop to many of her pieces.

Katrina wants people to feel good about themselves when they wear any of her work. She puts a lot of love and pride into everything made and hopes that it shows from the moment that the package leaves her hands and is unwrapped by the customer. When I got my necklace, it definitely showed.

Keep an eye out for more from her label Anirtak, too. Katrina is currently perfecting her sewing skills and may unveil her obsession with bags and purses on Etsy in the future.

I'm still adjusting to living in a new city, a rather dry city. As the summer is winding down, I can feel my skin begging for moisture. Last week, we had a round of presentations where we could talk about anything we wanted at our noon conference, and one of my co-interns who is going into dermatology gave a presentation on moisturizing one's skin... the importance of the lotions we choose.

She even gave a small tutorial on how to choose a lotion, telling us two very important features to look for. Thickness, the thicker the lotion the better. Natural ingredients are the best, no harsh chemicals or detergents.

Urban Fox Jewelry Review and Giveaway CLOSED!

Ever go shopping and find that perfect dress? You know what I'm talking about. The one that cinches your waist as if it was tailor-made for you. The one that shows off just enough leg to sashay down the street with some sass. The one that you bought full price because you HAD to have it.

I found that dress. It's a no-name designer from a random boutique store. It is awesome, worked for both day and night. There was enough of a design around the chest that I didn't need to wear a necklace. It was also in this pretty blue/gray color that I hadn't really seen before.
