I was asked to give a presentation this month on a patient of ours who passed away from the Swine Flu. It's nerve-wracking to give this type of presentation for doctors as the conference can turn into a wicked blame game amongst physicians.
Not only did I want to present the information well, but I wanted to look and feel confident and calm. I don't know how many of you have heard about color symbolism, but each color can represent many qualities. I didn't realize how many until I looked them up.
For my presentation I choose a professional, gray dress that I bought a couple months ago from Banana Republic. It was perfect for the presentation, but definitely required some accessories. I chose simple silver earrings, but needed a great necklace... One that would be tranquil and conservative and show confidence as well.
This beach glass necklace from Pacific Jewelry Designs was perfect for the occasion. Not only did it go well with my outfit, but it definitely calmed my nerves every time I looked in the mirror. The presentation went well and we all learned how to be better physicians.

Beautiful! And are we supposed to tell you only one we like, because there were a number of beautiful pieces...My favorites were the Russian Jade Serpentine necklace, the Citrine and Brass necklace with the little keys (I have a thing for skeleton keys), and the Lemon Crysoprase necklace.
I am more of a color combinations girl, but I do notice I am drawn most often to blues. It's so versatile; some make you feel calm, and some are invigorating or flirty or just fun. Great color.

I love staring at the beach glass necklace. It remindsn me so much of the beach. It has a great calming effect, simple yet very effective to soothe my tensed emotions.
Most of the time, when people asks me what color I like the most, I usually choose black as my favorite, because it has a classic beauty and you can never go wrong with a black, but if you ask me now, I'd go with sky blue. Aside from the calming effect, it intrigues me how beautiful the sky looks like even on a gloomy day, it cools me down.
